the answer are
1- 1
2- 3
3 – 1
solution
1
since they both can do work in 1 day is 60/11
so two days is 120/11(first statement – they work alternate days)
now since 120/11 will be 10 days + one incomplete day the work is completed.
question asked on which it will be completed the answer is 11th day
solution 2
the solution only by using the both the statements described
hence
solution is a is greater
solution 3
let the salary and expenditure is x& y respectively
the income is x and 3x/5 and expenditure is y and 4y/9
hence x-y = 700 and 3x/5 – 4y/9 = 700(first statement alone)
x=2500 y= 1500

Dear they are not working together…
If work left on 11th day is less than 1/12 only then work will be completed on 11th day.. if work left if greater than 1/12 and less than 1/10 it will depend on whose started the work.

answer for (1) is 3…cuz work done for first three days if A starts the work is 17/60 , if B starts the work first for 3 days thy wud have completed 16/60 .so its necessary use the second statement also.
