Mr. Mehra has 3 children – A, B and C. C is married to the eldest daughter of Mrs. And Mr. Kapoor. Kapoors married their youngest daughter to the eldest son of Mrs. And Mr. Gupta and the couple had two children E and F. J and K are sons of C and D. L is daughter of E. (Assume children inherit the assume of the father)
1. What is the surname of L?

2. How is J related to the father of D?
a. Grandfather
b. Grandson
c. Maternal uncle

3. How is Mrs. Kapoor related to K?
a. Son-in-law
b. Mother-in-law

Solution:
C (Mehra’s son) married to D (Kapoor’s eldest daughter)
They have 2 sons J and K
Kapoor’s youngest daughter is married to Gupta’s eldest son.
They have two children E (daughter) and F (could be son/daughter) L is E’s daughter
1. L’s surname cannot be determined, because we don’t know if E is boy or girl (If E is a boy then L’s surname is Gupta)
2. J is the grandson of D’s father as J is a boy and D is J’s father
3. Mrs. Kapoor is K’s maternal grandmother

For 1st question…
How does it make a diffrence ? E/F are children of of Mr.Gupta so the surname of E/F is Gupta only and so should be the surname of their kid L.So L’s surname is Gupta only….
