  1. Hitesh Says:

    1) a.. easy to solve
    2) c
because addition sud be a multiple of 3

  2. Govind Says:

    yes…

    1.a
    2.c..

  3. Uttam Says:

    1. A.
    EXPLANATION:-
as y hav to bye at least one candy from each type
so you have Rs 18 to bye 9 candy with different combination.
Now x+2y+3*(9-x-y)=18 (Say x and y no. of candy with Rs 1 AND 2 RESPECTIVELY)
    or 2x+y=9
    or y=9-2x
    from the equation
    x can hold 0,1,2,3 and 4.
    so Ans = 5=A

    2. C.
    Explanation:-
    As a,b,c are in AP,
    so its a+c=2b
    so a+b+c=3b
so ans is multiple of 3.
    So answer is 15 (C)

  4. Govind Says:

    explanation..

    x+2y+3z= 24……………..(1)

    x+y+z=12…………………(2)

sustituting value of x in 2 we get..

    y+2z=12
The possible solutions of x,y and z are
    (5,2,5),(4,4,4),(3,6,3),(2,8,2),(1,10,1)

    2nd one..
by taking b=(a+c)/2 in the equations we get c=a.

    So a+b+c = 3/2(a+c) = 3a= 3c

From options only c is divisible by 3.

  5. Sumedha Says:

    1. (b)

    x+2y+3z=24 (i)
    x+y+z=12 (ii)
    From (i) and (ii)
    y+2z=12
    Thus, (y,z) takes values (0,6),(2,5),(4,4),(6,3),(8,2),(10,1),(12,0)

    2. (c)
    a+b+c
    =a+[(a+c)/2]+c
    =3(a+b)/2
    =3b
    b is a valid interger
Hence, 3 and b are factors of the answers.
    Thus, 15
