    Explanation: It’s choice (D). You don’t write reports or stories or books for tools, but ‘obituaries’ – yes as tools get obsolete. Also ‘practices’ do not wither or trade or die away, but they do fade away with time. E makes no sense so left.

    Explanation: You do not add or figure two attributes, but you do combine them into one. ‘appear’ too abrupt when you are discerning a personality, ‘emerges’ would be more appropriate, as when you develop a paragraph.
